Beverly Bond started as a modeling at the age of 17 in New York. She turned her passion for the turntables into a new career move. She started out spinning at local clubs just for fun, and within a year’s time Beverly turned into one of New York’s top DJs. In 2006, Bond founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK! A unprofit organization that was built to help build self-esteem for young women of color by offering mentorship and enrichment through arts programs. She ended up partnering with BET to share her BLACKS GIRLS ROCK! vision with the rest of the world. Bond was later named as one Ebony's Most Influential Black in America
