Nelson Mandela the former president of South Africa from 1994-1999 he wanted to help bring a end to apartheid in South Afica brining peace to a racially divided country and leading the fight for human rights around thr world. Mandela was a member of the African National Congress party beginning in the 1940s, he was a leader of the peaceful protests. Unfortunately his actions put him in prisons for nearly three decades. He was released in 1990 and become the first black president of South Africa, but later on retiring from politics in 1999. After that he still reminded a devoted man for peace and social justice in his own nation and around the world, at the age of 95 he died on December 5, 2013.
