Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, better known by his stage name Joey Badass, first album B.4da$$ dropped on his birthday January 20 this year and it impacted the youth in a great way. The picture below is a picture from one of his songs from his album called "LIke me". This song was one of his soft beat deep songs that had a strong meaning behind it. Recently a lot of unarmed African Americans have been getting killed by different police offices around the world. In Joey Badass video he decided to speak out and tells us what it means to be young and black male in America in his video for "Like Me". In the video, Joey gets romantically attracted with a friend's ex-girlfriend. The dating drama leads to a violent situation, the rapper's friend accidentally shoots the girl right before the police shoots the armed man. As Bada$$ runs away, unarmed, the police stop him and shoot him while he raises his hands in the air. The visual clips of the video reference to what is going on in America right now, unarmed African Americans getting killed for no reason. Joey badass uses his music to speak out about issues in the world and does it in a very effective way every time he does.
